My wife will be out of town July 6-25, and I will be staying at home.  Melissa was gone for two weeks a couple of years ago and I just locked myself up in the house and didn’t do anything.  I am going to try not to do that again.

Every year, gringos in Texas (and, I assume, other parts of the U.S.) celebrate Cinco de Mayo (May 5th) with little or no knowledge of what the holiday represents.  Americans love any excuse to drink and wear funny hats.  For examples, see St. Patrick’s Day and Oktoberfest.  I often hear at least one person tell another that Cinco de Mayo is Mexico’s Independence Day.  Let me drop some conocimiento on you.
